WHITE BELT - The white belt is significant in more ways than the following belts; this belt term shapes your future as a martial artist both physically and mentally. You will learn the very basics of pencak silat and martial arts that will become the foundation on which to build. The habits formed create the trend for how to develop as a martial artist. The white belt signifies the beginning of what could become a life long endeavor.

YELLOW BELT - This belt is a continuation of the basics. The yellow belt adds a third dimension to your movements. Techniques and concepts learned will fill out your range of motion and movement. These new skills and habits will help you realize a sense of accomplishment and growth of discipline.

GREEN BELT - As a green belt, you will delve into concepts, techniques and applications that define the art of pencak silat. This will help you define your own personal fighting and technique style. At this stage you will begin to explore the use of weapons.

BLUE BELT - You will move on to intermediate pencak silat techniques and applications. In addition, you learn to harness your internal power. This will help you to discover the spiritual essence of pencak silat.

VIOLET BELT - At this point you will have mastered the basics. The final outward dimension of your physical training is learned at this stage.

BROWN BELT - You will find out when and if you get there.

RED BELT (two stripes) - Instructor
